Stephen Bishop
Stephen Bishop is the founder of Bishopsworth, a buying agency dedicated to helping American and Canadian clients find exceptional homes in Central London.
For more than thirty years, Stephen has advised on high-value residential property, combining an extensive legal background with a deep understanding of London's most desirable neighbourhoods.
He began his legal career in the West End acting for overseas buyers acquiring prime Central London homes, giving him first-hand experience of the unique considerations international purchasers face when buying in England.
In 2011, Stephen founded Lighthouse, a consultancy specialising in the luxury second-home market, before developing Sojourn8, innovative businesses focused on helping overseas buyers enjoy the benefits of owning a home in London. Throughout his career, he has remained fascinated by the reasons people choose to make London part of their lives.
Today, Stephen brings together decades of legal, property and strategic experience to guide clients through every stage of the buying process. His legal training allows him to identify potential issues early, ask the right questions during due diligence and help clients make informed decisions with confidence.
Stephen's approach is thoughtful, discreet and highly personal. He works with a small number of clients each year, offering independent advice, trusted judgement and a long-term relationship that extends well beyond completion. Through Bishopsworth, his aim is not simply to help clients buy a home in London, but to help them create a lasting London life.
I believe the right London home is discovered by understanding the person before the property. Every client has a different vision of London. My role is to help uncover the neighbourhood, home and lifestyle that best reflects the life they want to create. That's the most rewarding part of my work.
